Four year old Madison Merrick was born with a condition called Gastroschisis...

...a serious hernia in which the bowel is on the outside of the body. In June 2012, her Mum Alana, was told that Madiee desperately needed to undergo a small intestine transplant - an operation not available in New Zealand. Without this operation Madiee will die. Alana and Madison have been in Birmingham (UK) since May 2013, where she has been undergoing various tests and treatment.  In July 2014, Madiee has finally been accepted onto the transplant waiting list.  We need to raise funds to cover their living expenses for both Madiee and Alana while they await surgery, and the time they will need to stay for her recovery, which is likely to be at least 18 months from now. Please donate in any way possible.

There are only 100 canvas' available (each individually numbered), with $100 from every sale going to Madison's trust account. Our Goal here at Canvart is to raise $10,000 so our designers have created a limited edition print. This is a wicked Kiwiana 600x420mm Stretched Canvas. Madiee... new journey in UK

19/7/2013 Alana and Madison are currently in Birmingham Children Hospital. The medical team is still assessing her for any possibility of intestinal transplant or any other options best for her going forward. In mean time she has had her new shiny line changed and try to spend as much quality time with mum, Alana. Your donations and support is still appreciated as the funding from NZ Ministry of Health only covers for Madison's surgery but not their living expenses. Please make a donation or help us in our fundraising efforts if you are touched by Madison's journey to get well. Like our Facebook page to follow our journey in Birmingham.

The Madison Merrick Story
Madiee was born on Friday the 18th September 2009. A scan 14 weeks into the pregnancy showed that Madiee had Gastroschisis - an opening in the abdominal wall which appears while the baby is developing during pregnancy.
The abnormality results in the small and large intestine sitting outside the the abdominal wall.
